Sharemundo is an enterprise-level project management solution created to rival tools like Monday, Asana, Wrike, and Trello. The platform is modular and tailored for multiple business sizes—from energy consultants to small businesses. I contributed to designing the user experience for key modules and the overall system architecture from a usability perspective.

Sharemundo aimed to consolidate key functionalities from top project management platforms into one ecosystem—without overwhelming users. The challenge was to design a flexible yet intuitive UI that supports task management, time tracking, invoicing, HR, reporting, and more, across company and project levels.

We started by analyzing competitor platforms (Trello, Monday, Asana, Wrike) to understand common patterns and user expectations. I mapped out the platform structure for all three Sharemundo variants (Basic, Small Company, Energy Consultant).

To avoid overwhelming users, I helped structure the left navigation into Company-level and Project-level sections. This kept related functions grouped and allowed users to switch contexts easily.

Sharemundo is a German B2B SaaS company that builds project management tooling for energy consultants and small organizations. Their platform helps consultants manage government-funded energy retrofit projects — coordinating contractors, tracking milestones, recording site observations, and submitting BAFA and KfW funding applications. They compete in Europe against tools like WRIKE, Asana, and 

 but win on specialization and pricing for energy-sector workflows.

Engineering and consulting firms run on five or six disconnected tools. Projects live in one system, documents in another, billing in a third. Every handoff between systems costs time and introduces data errors. Energy consulting adds another layer of complexity — funding applications, site reporting with photo annotation, and regulatory compliance workflows that generic tools like Asana or Monday fundamentally cannot support.

A two-level platform (project and company) with pin-based customisable dashboards where users choose their own widget configuration. Three solution tiers — Energy Consultant, Basic, Small Company — share a codebase and design system, with the Energy Consultant tier adding site reporting with photo markers, funding application checklists, and SharePoint sync. Version 2.5 added the company-level layer: cross-project operations, HR management, group chat, and a company-wide calendar independent of any project.

Senior energy consultant based in Berlin. Manages 8–12 active projects at any time. Currently runs Outlook for email, Asana for tasks, SharePoint for documents, a custom Excel for billing, and a paper notebook for site visits. Cryptowizard is a UK-based crypto platform offering courses, trade signals, mentorship, and community access for traders at all levels. I collaborated with their in-house design team to support the development of responsive layouts and user interface screens for key pages.

While Cryptowizard already had a strong brand and core offering, the site needed refinement in specific areas of responsiveness and visual clarity. The team was aiming to improve:

The average crypto trader has five tabs open and none of them talk to each other.

WZRD Pro's premise was deceptively simple: take everything a serious crypto trader needs charts, signals, risk calculations, trade journal, market data, education and put it in one place that doesn't feel like a Bloomberg terminal exploded on the screen.

The real design challenge was 19 features that each had their own logic, their own data, their own users but all needed to feel like they'd always belonged together. The gamification layer (WZRD Points, tiers, leaderboards) wasn't cosmetic. It was the retention architecture that made a subscription feel worth renewing every month.

Retention is a design problem before it's a product problem.

19 features with no narrative connection feel like 19 separate tools in a folder, not a platform with a reason to exist.

Without a streak, a leaderboard position, or a weekly content ritual, there's no behavioral hook that brings users back tomorrow.

A lesson on risk management means nothing if the risk calculator is three clicks away in a different part of the platform.

Why the all-in-one bet was the right bet.

Building the daily habit loop before designing individual features.

The first structural design decision was identifying what the platform's habit loop should be: Learn → Analyze → Trade → Track → Earn → Return. Every module was then mapped to one of these five states. If a feature didn't serve at least one, it was a candidate for deprioritization. If it served multiple simultaneously (a lesson that awards points that contribute to a leaderboard rank), it was flagged as high-retention value.

The screens that defined the platform experience.

Input fields for account balance, risk %, entry price, stop-loss price, leverage, and fees. Outputs calculated in real-time: position size, risk/reward ratio, liquidation price estimate, total exposure. Visual gauge (green/yellow/red zones) gives instant emotional read of risk level. Saved presets allow returning traders to skip setup. Includes FAQ section explaining each field for new users. Save, reset, and delete preset controls.

Trading Journal — Dashboard + Calendar View

Dashboard summary shows Total P/L, Win Rate, Average Win/Loss, and Risk:Reward ratio at the top. "Add New Trade" modal requires only: Date, Pair, Type (Long/Short), Entry Price, Exit Price, Size — P/L and R:R auto-calculate. Optional fields: Strategy, Emotion, Notes. Calendar view colors each trading day green (profitable) or red (loss) — giving pattern visibility at a glance without analysis. Analytics section shows pie/bar breakdowns by strategy and emotion correlation.

Personal points balance prominently displayed with current tier badge (Bronze / Silver / Gold), level progress bar, and next tier threshold. Activity breakdown shows points earned from each action type. Referral dashboard shows referred users with status (Joined / Active / Verified) and pending rewards. Leaderboard has filter tabs: All-time, Monthly, Weekly, Friends-only. Privacy toggle allows users to appear as anonymous. Level-up animation triggers on milestone achievements.

Current index displayed on a semicircular gauge with labeled zones: Extreme Fear, Fear, Neutral, Greed, Extreme Greed. Color coding matches zones. Historical comparison cards show yesterday, last week, and last month values. Yearly High and Low displayed. Color-coded historical chart with Fear (red) and Greed (green) zones highlighted. Toggle between timeframes: 30D, 1Y, All. FAQ section below explains what the index is and how to interpret it — serving Tom's learning needs without cluttering the main view.

Dedicated branded section with its own banner header, "WZRD Sundays" title, and tagline: "New episodes every week." Video grid layout: thumbnail, title, duration, publish date. Progress tracking shows which episodes have been watched and how far through. Automatic fetch from Vimeo API on new uploads. Admin panel allows manual upload and metadata editing. Fast-loading design optimized for repeat weekly visits. Each completed episode awards WZRD Points.

A subscription platform with a behavioral reason to return every morning.

The Learn → Trade → Track → Earn → Return loop creates multiple daily touchpoints. Users who engage with the gamification layer have measurably higher platform return frequency than those who don't — the loop was designed before the screens.

A dark-mode design system with strict component hierarchy, one teal accent, and consistent data encoding across all 19 modules ensures users are never disoriented navigating between market data tools, educational content, and trading utilities.

Automated subscription role assignment turned premium upgrades from a feature unlock into a community access event. Free users receive a Discord invite with "Free Member" access. Premium upgrades automatically escalate to private channels. Cancellations revert instantly.

Reducing entry to 4 required fields with auto-calculated P/L and R:R — combined with a color-coded calendar that gives visual feedback instantly — removed the primary reason traders abandon journaling. The feature is now part of the daily points-earning loop.
